Consumption,.

A long time ago, a young maiden lay silently in her favorite chair, rocking back and forth ever so slightly. Her hair was as golden as an angels halo, and her skin was as pale as the luminous shined moon. She was indeed beautiful, well, she was. The maiden only saw her beauty as an advantage point to break the hearts of others, and get whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted it. Indeed, she was wicked, and wicked she stayed. That was, until a serving of her own treatment came to her when she met a widowed old woman, frayed and most vulnerable. The young maiden had used her beautiful looks to try to charm the old woman into selling her some of her finest thread, and when the old woman refused and saw through the maiden’s mask, the maiden became enraged. She screamed angrily, setting her hands upon the old woman. The old woman suddenly called out something, to which the young maiden didn’t respond, being consumed by anger and blinding emotion. Suddenly, the young maiden found herself lying upon the ground, a giant, darkened creature retrieving her. “You, young girl,” The old woman said, “shall be retained in forever darkness, your looks will rot away, and the creatures of the dark shall taunt and torment you for the rest of your days. You will be renowned as the most wicked girl, and the angels will weep for you.” Then, the young maiden sat alone for the rest of her days, silently rotting away as the creatures of the darkness continued to play mind games on her. Her hair became knotted and gray, slowly withering away with each passing day. Her beautiful pale skin, now rough and covered in self induced marks. She had deprived herself of food, and continued to mark herself with shards of glass until she bled heavily. Yes, the young maiden was now retaining what she deserved, or so you may think. It wasn’t really a creature tormenting the poor girl, no, it was her own conscious. When the old woman had said she’d be tormented by creatures of the dark, she had meant the darkness that the girl had consumed. Yes, consumption is something odd indeed, a thing to which that may personally haunt you forever.

Yes, consumption of emotion is most dangerous,..
